What is Schema Markup?
Schema markup is code that tells search engines what your content means, not just what it says. The main formats are:
- JSON-LD — The recommended format. Sits in a script tag, easy to add.
- Microdata — HTML attributes added to existing elements. Older format.
- RDFa — Similar to Microdata. Less common today.
